Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy by The Who. It was a collection of their early hit singles from really bad albums.

I get a lot out of Legend, the Bob Marley compilation album. I think that’s a good example of what I’m talking about.

I'm really glad you like them, Caramelos is a band from Venezuela that is just known there, but they have great music. As for canvass, yeah, that happened to me too, they have weird sounds on their music but it's really nice and chill

There simply isn't a consistent lineup over an entire era like some of those other bands have. As DP changed lineups, they also changed their sound. In just the space of a decade, you have four lineups playing psychedelic rock, hard rock, and funk/jazz fusion.

I'll go ahead and apologize for my last response because I'm sure it's very obvious to you. I honestly don't know. I'm a musician, but not one that reads notes. I'm closer to a jazz musician than a classical musician.

My favorite Led Zeppelin song is Achilles Last Stand but I don’t recall ever hearing it on the radio, probably because it’s an 8 min epic story song. Not suitable for radio format. Is it possible that DP music falls into this trap? Long songs that don’t encapsulate nicely for radio play?

You're the second person to respond similarly. Okay, I didn't know because in videos they cut it so you never see a player glancing at the conductor. Small misunderstanding on my part. But I'm still unsure of what a conductor can tell someone that couldn't be conveyed through sheet music.

It doesn't look like the players ever look at the conductor, but the camera keeps moving around for a reason. Clever. I suppose there's always the deus ex machina that creates the magic.

I agree tho they have better songs, but creep just hits you right in the feels. The Anger, the desperation. I just love the emotion

It's the most marketable of their music, perhaps. It's a pretty good tune, dynamic and interesting. Best of all time? Eh, that kind of thing is endlessly debatable, taste being subjective, but I'd fall closer to your end of the debate I think.

Let’s cool it there with creep being the one of the best songs of all time, it’s not even the best song on Pablo honey.

I think the revolving door of members had a lot to do with it, They were basically three bands, and the famous lineup only was together for four (plus one live) albums,

Bob Segar-Greatest Hits. You can put Bobs songs in any order and the album will still sound right. I will Give Tom Pettys Greatest Hits a nod also. One more nod to Steve Miller
