Personally I think it may just be cynical boomer bait. Sorry but the spirit and mover of rock music is not trying to sound shit your grandparents listened to. Reminds me of guys my age who now as men cosplay as badasses by dressing up like my grandparents who are bikers. It doesn't make you look badass it makes you look like my grandma.

There's a reason why pop music is called pop music, but in all honesty, here in NZ, rock is hugely popular. The Rock 93fm is massive, and I don't know any people who don't listen to rock. Just like fashion; while all the attention is on bizarre garments being worn on runways, blue jeans are still the go-to for most.

Oh man, I remember discovering them on Myspace back in high school and loving them. Seen them twice, both back then. Once for This Is Blood and once for Valleyheart. I’m pretty sure I was the only person under 18 there at the first one. Such great music. I haven’t listened to them in a while but I heard someone drive by a few days ago with their windows down blasting them and it made me smile.

I’ve actually been to three gigs this week and the ONE thing I absolutely hate is people talking non stop through shows…. Phones are annoying and lame but I can see around those why pay money go to a concert and then stand around talking non stop like it’s your lounge room????
