Reply to Creep by Radiohead by Twiztid_Angel_
Long story short, it's a generational thing. Some songs just have an impact when they come out and you simply cannot replicate that feeling once time has passed. There's tons of more interesting stuff from Radiohead, sure. But for a lot of people Creep is the only song they know or it's one of the few or it's just the one that made them love the band. if you weren't there or it isn't your experience it just won't be the same.

That’s why I relate to it, being a young weirdo (20 year old who listens to predominantly 90s/00s)

Him and his peers aren’t really relevant these days musically speaking. Made some absolute classics though that continue to inspire new generations

It's a well written song that spoke to a lot of weirdos out there in an influential time in their young lives.

I mean, it’s a great song, but the Hollies are seemingly to credit.
I do feel special having seen Creep live though.

He has already gained inspiration from them. We are the current adults and the new kids are who he we should be looking to.
The past builds a foundation and the next live there while buildings the next foundation.

Wild Colonials…start with This Misery. Old group.
The Civil Wars if you want newer. The One That Got Away is where I would start.

Plenty of younger artists are making really interesting rap, but the more interesting stuff isn’t as big - little simz, noname, earthgang, saba, I love stuff like that. But Tyler the creator, Kendrick, gambino - there’s huge name younger artists that are excellent as well.

Too Tired to Run - Cain's Offering is probably my favourite. The build up, the climax and the ending all comes together to make it really powerful.

Lana’s influence is definitely there tho. Every “model” on Instagram has picked up a Ukulele and tried to sing like she does. Super cringey and 100% of the time it is horrible. Been going strong for over a decade now.
