Reply to Creep by Radiohead by Twiztid_Angel_
Creep was their first hit no? I love it tbh - it has that Nirvana/90s quiet then loud feel to it… it was probably because this was the sound that was popular at the time. I love Radiohead and I think this is from Pablo Honey? Their first album, you can see that they are working on their signature sound but not there yet… another good one from this album is High and Dry (If I’m getting the album right)

Cool! Glad you like it! I’m not sure if you’ve ever checked out that.dog before but they’re another cool female fronted 90s rock band. They don’t have that “ethereal” quality you’re looking for but they’re pretty dark & moody and would be worth checking out if you’re not familiar!

Idk if I’d go that far, bus it’s def vapid scene girl music.

Same. She kinda sucks. Her voice is annoying and she’s terrible live.

DeLoused in the Comatorium by the Mars Volta. Wish you were here by Pink Floyd (specifically shone on you crazy diamonds). All of Mastodons best albums are based off personal trauma each member has been through. Most recently was their manager dying of cancer with the albums ‘hushed and grimm’ and ‘emperor of sand.’

Same here, never cared for her music either. It’s something about her affect that’s off for me.

Good list, drawing on multiple eras and genres. Since it’s a subjective question I’ll add Paul Simon.

I loved her first album and still regularly play it, 2 nd I did not really like. 3 and 4 yup liked them but I think she is going off the boil now. Saw her in the Uk a couple times and enjoyed both times. Sometimes I am in the mood for dreamy and/or toxic nonsense. Right now I am having a rock days. So depends on mood.
