That’s an amazingly apt description - I’ve always seen her as making music for people stumbling back home in the early morning while still a little fucked up and realizing all of the shit that went down over the night but not really giving a fuck because you’re young, adventurous, and still have a little coke and tequila in your system

Steve Earle’s J.T. was a tribute to his late son, Justin Townes, who died of a drug overdose. Steve himself struggled with addiction and overcame it. To see your son go down the same path and not make it has got to be heartbreaking.

Cocteau Twins match some of that ethereal sound you might be looking for. Nothing quite like the Sundays, though. So good.

Sunn0)) is loud enough with their bass frequencies that earplugs will not protect anyone in the front row, as essentially the sound bypasses the plugs and travels through the bone (bone conduction).

My all time favorite song is “Destination Unknown” by Missing Persons.
A song I’ve been playing a lot and can’t get tired of recently is “Anklebiters” by Paramore.

Ghost City by Delta Sleep: concept album with a very relatable story about escaping from the trappings of a high tech professional life is easy for me to relate to. Plus, the musicianship is very technical so.
