Anytime you want shorter versions look for "Radio edit" it was common practice back in the 60s and 70s when bands were making 7+ min long songs.

"You've exposed your own lack of knowledge", explain the exposè?
I pointed out a fact.
I've heard enough rap music over the years...been to festival witnessed plenty of big acts live.

David Bowie's Blackstar. I Remember listening to it the day it came out, and when he ended up dying two days after the release, a lot of the themes throughout the album became clear.

Right on. Does he prefer to be referred to as Charles? I've never heard anything about that, but I did know somewhere in the back of my brain that his name is Charles

I did a YouTube query of her work. Finished the song list in about 2 hours. Not one sparked an interest to hear more. She seemed to try to hard to be singer, Too artsy for my tastes.

You've exposed your own lack of knowledge about the genre and expect others not to notice? judging any genre by the top lyrics will make the seem boring and repetitive. the top rock lyrics would be just as generic. a lot of "baby, yeah, no, love, girl, heart, night" etc

"The fact is" you have no idea about my knowledge of the genre.
Fact is, there has been data collated about the language used in rap music...and you can guess what it boils down to.

Ok. Could I ask what albums/songs have you listened to? Maybe there’s better ones that you haven’t discovered yet

Yeah, however I'm not saying countries shouldn't exist, because they should. But I think the humanity should behave as one race to overcome it's problems.

Check out the Smithsonian Institute Folkways Recordings
Especially those curated or produced by John Cohen and Ralph Rinzler prior to 1970. Rinzler, with Cohen, was a member of the Greenbrier Boys, one of the first urban bluegrass bands. Rinzler 'discovered' Doc Watson and successfully managed Bill Monroe's triumphant return to an urban audience after Elvis' scorching Blue Moon of Kentucky. Monroe, asked about Elvis' success later, said, "Those were some powerful royalty checks!"
