"Ang Huling El Bimbo" by the Eraserheads. This is my favorite Filipino song of all time, from a band often touted as The Beatles of the Philippines. Absolutely epic song, with a moving story and great arrangement.
Here's the original music video:
And here's a version with captions of the lyrics translated into English.

The story behind the song is interesting! The language is Chiac. It’s Acadian French.

I had to listen to this in its entirety. I couldn't understand a thing, and I listen to french music on a regular basis. This is gold, the music video just made the whole thing so much better

3 of my favorites too. You might try 'Elephant Tree' and 'Mars Red Sky'. But really those 3 bands have no contemporaries I've found that aren't poorer imitations. For that you could look at 'Rishloo' and 'Soen' who are both Tool soundalikes.
Nobody can replace Zack de la Rocha, so you could check out his early stuff with 'Inside Out' and the 'one day as a lion' EP. Also give 'Rollins Band' a try, starting with Low Self Opinion.
Assuming you like the early Beastie Boys stuff, rather than the Intergalactic era, than maybe 'Eric B & Rakim', 'Jungle Brothers', 'Wiseguys' & 'Funky 4 +1'

it's amazing. I put it into one of my playlists, really really dig that style. It reminded me of Hotline Miami soundtrack (?), but waaay more calm and relaxing. Check out Knock Knock - Scattle, who knows, maybe you'll like it. Also thanks for that recommendation, really good

My wife’s dad worked with the guy and I started getting a little bit too in to it, like I dressed up as him for Carnival in Slovenia and they dropped all of them off social media. I guess impersonation is not the biggest form of flattery. I broke that family relationship, but her dad was cool with it. Still a banger though.
