This is the first I've heard of any of those things about coldplay I don't know who Gwyneth Paltrow is. Kinda weak publicity if you ask me. Who cares if its carbon neutral or carbon negative or carbon monoxide.

Girls Not Grey is far from the only sound AFI had on that record and has since then. Dancing Through Thursday is more punk and the leaving song part 2 is harder than Girls not grey.

Yes and no with slipknot, yea they had roadrunner records on their side but let's keep it real, Mushroomhead didn't have a drummer as skilled and intense as Joey or a vocalist as good as Corey. To say its ALLL PR and marketing is wrong, Not to mention, you can have ALL of those things and still fail. Plus mushroomhead just doesn't have the songs compared to slipknot and is more inconsistent.

Plus Labeling GTA as a murder simulator is kinda... seems boomerish. Call of duty, Mortal Kombat and a whole host of other video games could be labelled that but it is inaccurate and stupid to call it that

I'm gonna recommend a rock artist: Andrew WK.

Andrew is a savant (former piano prodigy) who became famous for making party rock. He had a show on MTV where he went around and helped people. He is a fountain of positivity and actively gives lectures on being the best you can be and dealing with personal problems.

Check out this 2 minute clip of him talking about dealing with his struggles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mb3TIewIpE

His music is uplifting, catchy hard rock.

Andrew WK is a saint with lots of YouTube videos helping people. His music is good even if you don't like the genre.

his music:

"Party Hard"

"She is Beautiful"

Some people get in to The Cure and fully embrace the goth aesthetic. Mike D from the Beastie boys wore a VW logo necklace and all of the sudden people were stealing them off of cars. Tons of middle school boys were sagging their pants because they thought lil wayne looked cool.

Your post includes the convergence of two things reddit associates with young women liking, so you're gonna get some dick head dismissive answers. In reality, I think its a fairly common thing of someone seeing an artist with a style they think is cool or interesting and adopting it as part of their own.
