Reply to Will any of the current artists still be idolised 50+ years from now similarly to how people still adore The Beatles, Elvis Presley etc..? by BlacksmithGullible90
I'm just imagining this question being asked about artists in the 70s. Because at the time many were dismissed - and quite a few are still going strong... đ¤Ł

Matisyahu - his sound has changed with every new album. Everyone focuses on his early work, but his last 3 albums are killer
Idles

Between the Buried and Me - Goodbye to Everything / Astral Body
Goodbye to Everything is the album's opening prelude that transitions into the first actual song Astral Body (Transition is at 1:39 in the video, and the slight skip you'll hear there is the youtuber's fault).

The first time I heard The Cure's Lovesong in the back of my dad's car at 9 years old on Austin college radio, it has been stuck in my head. A few years later, the moment I had the resources and agency to buy music I went to the Sam Goody to pick up Disintegration but they didn't have it. They did have Live In Paris though, which had Lovesong so I bought that. It wasn't long before I had all of The Cure's releases, including the UK imports.

Iâm slightly obsessed by a guy who is currently recording as Selfish, but used to be in some other unpopular bands, (Eiger and Himself). Itâs sort of metal, but with spoken word bits and barbershop harmonies and self deprecating Yorkshire humor.

My daughter has been into her since she was a kid so I kinda ignored her. Then around the time of the SNL Swiftamine spot I realized that she does know her stuff.
