The first time I heard The Cure's Lovesong in the back of my dad's car at 9 years old on Austin college radio, it has been stuck in my head. A few years later, the moment I had the resources and agency to buy music I went to the Sam Goody to pick up Disintegration but they didn't have it. They did have Live In Paris though, which had Lovesong so I bought that. It wasn't long before I had all of The Cure's releases, including the UK imports.

I’m slightly obsessed by a guy who is currently recording as Selfish, but used to be in some other unpopular bands, (Eiger and Himself). It’s sort of metal, but with spoken word bits and barbershop harmonies and self deprecating Yorkshire humor.
