Hhmm you could be right about blow out there actually, Pablo was such a disappointment at the time, creep is great, anyone can play guitar slaps, blow out with a bit of work as you suggest could fit nicely on the bends but it's a very average album overall, I put off buying the bends for months as I was very wary about it, luckily one of my mates played it to me and showed me how wrong I was.

And? When i was 8 i loved Gary Glitter and relished in 70s glam and rock bands until i discovered Iron Maiden at 17 in 2003. It's not lame to be unlike other people, the only lame people are those that can't accept you're a bit different.

I still listen to glam bands though, my favourite it's Sweet but you'll also find me listening to Cradle of Filth and Chuck Berry too.

Just skimmed through this as the lack of paragraphs makes this difficult to read.

I guess the question is do you need lossless? And do you need the remastered version of an album? the long and the short of it is no, you don’t need it.

Lol I mean it’s totally not my thing but that doesn’t mean it sucks. I recognize the guy has talent and maybe someone else here will find a new favorite in him.

I don’t think Pablo Honey is all that bad in a vacuum. I think it’s like a lot of ‘pretty good’ albums, full of hits and misses.

However…we can agree to disagree on that. I do think Blow Out would have been even better and a standout on The Bends if it had been saved and recorded (possibly minor rework) during that session. Just a hypothetical.

I am 448 into the same list. Definitely agree with

Nina Simeone - Wild Is The Wind

Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman

Dolly Parton - Coat Of Many Colors

as previously unknown to me that I definitely enjoyed.

There is a bit too much 60's Brit rock for my taste, feels like it is 20% of the experience, but overall I am happy I am doing it.

My desire for it waxes and wanes a bit, and I am currently in a bit of a lull. How do you feel about it being more or less twice as far into it as me?

Video it, watch it with him, then e honest and tell him. He’s not only limiting the band but he’s limiting himself. Or Maybe it’s something he can fix. If his writing is great, he’s getting in his own way by not giving the song the justice it deserves. You might get run, but fuck it, why waste your time sucking if your band mate won’t get out of his own way.

I listened to Rolling Stones 500 albums from 500 to 1 a few years back. I did it in about six months. More recently I listened to 1001 songs you must hear before you die in chronological order along with the book.

I might do this book now, skipping the overlaps. However, I have a physical media collection of CDs and records just shy off 2,000 albums (a few overlaps) hundreds of which I haven't listened to yet. In addition, I have tens of thousands of digital files that haven't been seen in forever.

I go on discovery rabbit holes and acquire stuff faster than I can listen to it.
