Shoot, I overlooked your request for a new album. Go with Weval Remember (just came out) and the Young Fathers album Heavy Heavy, particularly "Tell Somebody."

DJ Shadow Endtroducing is a sampling masterclass, Massive Attack's Mezzanine and The Flaming Lips Soft Bulletin are darkhorses for best albums of the 90s*.*

Search binaural recordings if you want to experience stereo placement with headphones. Try this for a sampler.

Anything by Miles Davis, but particularly “A Tribute to Jack Johnson”
The Wall - Pink Floyd
Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots - Flaming Lips
Savior Sorrow - Mushroomhead
Advice From The Happy Hippopotamus- Cloud Cult
Losing the Game - The Blend
The Score - The Fugees
The Mollusk - Ween
And holy shit, I cannot recommend Shpongle highly enough. That album was life changing.
Final edit: Plantasia deserves an honorable mention.

Anything by James Blake (not to be confused with James blunt). Start with the self titled first album.

Oh I don’t mean you in particular , but your reaction is on point 😂 There are many Coldplay fans, but none will ever admit it

The song "Goddamn you, Jim" by the Felice Brothers. I remember when I got new headphones and realized one of them strikes a match to light up a smoke in the middle of the song

God, the first half of A Rush of Blood to the Head is an album with absolutely no flaws ever. Second half not so much.

His alcoholism is a big part of his slurring I believe. I wouldn't call it hilarious.

Been listening to them, Flogging Molly, and Blood or Whiskey all month. I mean, I listen to them in other months too, but it's become my March tradition.

That's kind of hilarious. I always thought he just sounded like a pretty typical Punk vocalist with some Irish pronunciations added to the mix, but I guess it's a bit more than that.
Still, when he wanted to drive it home on songs like Thousands Are Sailing I always thought he annunciated well enough.
