Reply to comment by Musket_Metal in Brigitte Bardot in the early 1960s starting the trend of topless sunbathing by afrodite11
It’s so crazy. She’s literally called Black and brown people “savages,” that they’re “coming in” and “destroying our way of life.” I’m of Middle Eastern descent - there’s nobody braver than Black and brown Muslim women fighting and mobilizing across the MENA. The women of Iran, for example. But the dorks downvoting us don’t understand - these uprisings are by and large led by Muslim women. Westerners can’t see that, it doesn’t square with their edgelord, “new atheist” Eurocentric worldview. It’s so insane to be told “oh Bardot is racist? So you support global misogyny?” Like, who thinks that way? I guess edgy 17 year olds lol.

I see a guy who definitely looks like Jon Stewart. Is that somehow confirmed to be him?

I would agree with that. The Heart of Glass video came on last night when I was watching YouTube and I broke the elastic on my underpants.
I remember watching that as a 10 year old.
Broke a lot of elastic then too.

The 90's were a low point for clothes. Other than that, it was a wonderful decade though.

Funny story.
My parents (adopted me) were on their hunny moon, sometime around 65'. They are in Mazatlan for the trip, and enjoying the beach. This is the time women started wearing two pieces, but my mom wasn't there yet. So, my dad decided to take pictures of my mom at the beach, but in at least two of those pictures. My dad happened to capture two top less ladies in the background 🤣 We still have those pictures to this day. And, now that I'm older... I know the topless ladies were no accident. I find it funny my mom kept them, she said, "It's just who your dad was." RIP BIG DAWG 😅
