I remember one of the first CDs I ever bought with my own money was the 1995 Alice In Chains album (the one with the yellow tint and three-legged dog.) Was jamming to it in my room on the shelf system my parents got me for my birthday that year. Got to the fourth song Heaven Beside You and about halfway through my dad comes in, opens my CD player, takes out the CD and snapped it in half along with the CD case without saying a word. I hated him for a while starting that day and it pretty much kicked off my teenage rebellion.

Great looking couple. Their daughter inherited the best of both.

I begged my mother for a pair when they were popular. I got them (black) about a year after they went out of fashion. Wore them once, my mom washed them, with other clothes. Ruined. Color faded and seams tore. She blamed me for tearing them up at school and wasting her money.

You're*, you fucking ignoramus. If you're going to waste your life on this bullshit, at least don't suck at it.

£170 in 1987 would be £450 today ($544).

My grandfather worked in copper mine. Shortly after the war started, he was called in, given a copy of the paperwork, and told: congratulations, you are critical worker, and as long as you work here, you won't have to enlist.
