Such a cool photo and a tragic story, I often look at pictures of my great grandparents and such, it's amazing how hard people used to work and still just scrape by.

I remember most of my local Gemco stores were taken over/bought out by Target. Did I ever love Gemco as a kid.. well, their toy aisles.
