My dad recently unearthed his copy of The Point. I had never heard of Harry Nilsson before- you better believe my dad fkn jumped at the chance to introduce me to his stuff. So we spent some time listening to the album with Dad reminiscing about his teen years :)
I told my mom we had listened to The Point and her response was "Harry Nilsson... that weirdo." Lol

Long-story short, an IT-ish job, I made a fake user (to test things) "Tony Clifton." A co-worker reported resulting problems two or three times with "Clifton," not getting the reference at all.

He talked about faking his death a lot. In the book his friend wrote, he even had a plan. Some think he is still alive.

Trust me bombing by chucking stuff out of an aeroplane at around the cruise speeds of your average WW1 type is not a walk in the park.
I’ve tried flour bombing from aircraft at similar speeds - even at very low altitudes it’s not as easy as you might think to make accurate drops. And it must have been bloody terrifying when people are shooting at you and the only thing between you and them is a layer of thin highly flammable fabric :(
Oh if they were hit and not killed instantly their bosses had decided not to give them parachutes for fear that the pilots would chicken out and jump rather than keeping a stiff upper lip and augering in on fire like a decent chap :(

As you can see paper bags were used a lot. That’s all I remember using then these plastic things showed up.don’t know why, handles? Strength? I’d still prefer the paper bag.
