That looks much older than 1940 based off the coloring and clothes. I’m thinking teens to 20s maybe

Jim Carrey was originally offered $350,000 for the role but they never locked in that deal. It wasn't until after the success of ace ventura: pet detective that they sat down and finalized his price, which ended up being 7 million dollars. Jeff Daniel's was paid $50k and gladly took it just for an opportunity to work with Carrey.

Thanks! Do you see any insignias that may give any further information?

It looks like a photo of the Flying Tigers. The plane behind them is a P-40 in flying Tiger paint scheme.
Wikipedia has an extensive article

So he says "Do you love me?" and she says "No, but that's a real nice ski mask!"

Honestly what does it hurt to just simply store then in a storage container? Id like to think that photos of myself and family, would not get thrown to the garbage in the future.

It makes me sad to one day be a forgotten person in a photograph.

Family Search is a free alternative to Ancestry and is actually incredibly thorough

Notice on the side the pilot and the crew chief have the same last name. I wonder if they were brothers. Pretty cool dynamic if that was the case. One brother fixes up the plane while the other uses it to kill nazis.

This. My wife had legacy photos that her mother was unable to identify (dementia), and we were able to use ancestry submissions to figure out some of the unknowns.

Definitely a P-40, and definitely not the Flying Tigers seeing that the nose art is a snake head. After a quick google search this is what I found with identical nose art:
The “Bushmasters” of the 78th Fighter Squadron / 15th Fighter Group operated their P-40K’s from the Hawaiian Islands and Midway in 1943. They carried a large snake head on the noses of their aircraft. An interesting if somewhat obscure marking.
Anyway, that is an impressive find! Love this kind of stuff
