Your dad looks just like a famous actor from that time but I can’t put my finger on what I remember him from or his name. Or if not an actor, some famous person. Like, he just looks so familiar.

I had my first pasty in October in Marquette! Lovely meal. Beautiful area. As I understand, the place I ate at was a pillar of the pasty community. Sadly has closed according to google.

Some of those lunch pails probably have pasties in them. One of the best regional foods you can still get in the upper peninsula of Michigan. A pocket of dough normally filled with potatoes, rutabaga, onion and often beef. Sooo gooood.
