In college I had a '76 Duster with a Slant 6 and 4 on the floor. That thing couldn't get out of it's own way. Dusters were notorious for sagging rear springs making for the first "Carolina Squat". I put a set of air shocks on mine to bring it up.

Somehow she looks older there then in the 40 years afterwards

My Mom drove a Duster and my grandfather went on and on about the slant 6. I knew that was a duster immediately. Thx for the details!

318 is a V8. They did make a slant 6 version. That slant six engine lasted forever for the times.

How long did she have that car, what happened to it?

My grandfather on my father's side had a series of 2-door Dodge Darts. I'd completely forgotten about the Valiant.

That's supposed to be right after he beats up some punks and takes their clothes. However I don't understand why he'd put on fingerless gloves other than for fashion's sake.

She has the second highest top 10 singles of any woman ever on Billboard's top 100 charts. 38 songs in the top 10. And dozens more in the top 40 and top 100. That's not done by someone with no talent. She may not have been the best singer, but she certainly isn't bad. And her songs in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's were eminently catchy and listenable.

I’m more of a fan of Deasperatly Seeking Susan era Madonna, but that’s a good ear too. She was still a little mysterious at the time. So seeing her in a “comedy” was… interesting.

We know and we do not approve.
I remember watching her imitate Marylin Monroe in Material Girl in the PX stationed in Germany
Holy Shit.
She's ruined herself.
