I was caught up in the fact that people didn’t know what MIL meant and totally missed the jokes. When I realized, I too had to laugh at how ridiculous it was and how fucking awesome it could’ve been if he was in fact The Beaver (I dunno maybe like an earlier version of The Goat?). I’m going to just crawl under a rug now.

thats my point, wages aside, cars were just cheap back then. they also were much more dangerous and were gaz guzzling emissions factories as well

ok you either have an unusually good job for your age, your parents helped you, or both , or you have an old car or you got a great deal on it. not everyone or even most people have that in their 20s.
you cannot buy a remotely new sports car making $15 an hour unless you save half your earnings for a year or more and I dont know how you do that and pay rent, thats just math

Call me Copernicus, cause I’ve noticed you answered seriously towards two different comments, that, to a thirty-somethin’ year old, were obvious one-liner references of those times; you thinkin’ MLKjr might have had a secret alias as The Beaver, has had me in stitches for minutes.

The VHS stores I went to when I was a kid literally didn’t care. I’d rent R movies all the time. Then when Blockbuster took over, they were more strict. Had to have a parent with you, but my mom was pretty cool. She’d just roll her eyes and give me that “You really shouldn’t be watching this” look, but would end up letting me rent it anyway.

I like how the brother on the left is taking this very seriously, like he knows the gravity of whom he is meeting.

He apparently had lock picks hidden on him within reach and he knew how to use them very quickly. I saw a picture awhile back of one the locks he used to use. The front opened up with all sorts of keys and tools inside it. Could just be bullshit theories though.
