I think it’s because r/oldschoolcoolnsfw went away and nothing else has really stepped in to replace it.

Honestly one of my favorite movies ever, of any genre. It is so well directed, the set design and choreography are incredible and the feeling of intimacy you get with the band is unparalleled. Just pure joy and music coming through the whole time, it is magic to me.

The clothes and hair on the women are a lot closer to 1940 than they are 1927. 1927 is still bobbed hair and dropped waist dresses. The woman in the "blue" dress to the left has sleeves that are more typical for the end of the 1930s, and all the women's hair has the height and shape for that period too.

I like hand on the hat. Doesn't matter how fucked up you get, nobody fucks with the hat.

For real though. Those men's suits on the right are so oversaturated it's lost all definition.

I'm not sure if they were made to by the label or radio stations or chose to for mass market appeal.

They were made edit out the word "nasty"? That's hilarious.

At least Barbie has a full name, so she hopefully had a driver's license and was not driving that Corvette illegally! :-0

it depends on the edit.
the original and the one they played live on video is "nasty" I believe the radio edit is "natural"
