I remember seeing a local band called Psychotic Symphony back when I lived in LA County. They had a similar thing going on with everyone wearing masks, plus costumes (the lead guitarist was in a nun's habit). This was around the same time Mr. Bungle was gaining attention.

And of course by that time GWAR had been a thing for a while.

Same here - born in 1967.

And in any case, at this time my family didn't go out to eat very often. Dad was less than ten years into his teaching career, and I'm not sure whether Mom worked at the time (I also have a younger sister, born in '70).
