That’s actually really cool. People were more chill about everything. Before we became indoctrinated how dangerous everything was, that we enjoyed. Smoking, soda, lots of fast food, seatbelts, kids roaming the streets playing, riding in the back of pickups, sun exposure, sex, helmet-free motorcycles, red meat, etc…

Probably the biggest strike against the SVO at the time was that it was THE most expensive Mustang you could buy at the time, and it wasn't any quicker in a straight line than a GT. Especially not after the 5.0L was bumped up over 200 hp in '86.

👍🏻 I didn't know there was an option to put a 2.3 turbo in a GT. Still learning at 46....

I remember those special vehicle operations cars my neighbor had a black one I used to love the way that ram Air hood looked but they were not v8s so it wasn't THAT cool lol.
