My favorite of hers is her first hit (with The Stone Poneys), “Different Drum” (from early-1968).

Funny you guys say this. I dated a girl for a while who looked like Sara Gilbert - but that was in the '90s, so it wasn't OP's mom.

This is so bizarre because when I'm listening to it my brain is trying to make sense of it because it sounds familiar but it's all wrong at the same time. It's like the uncanny valley of sounds.

I love that movie she’s in where the creepy guy goes back in time to bone his mom.

Every Penthouse magazine from the 70s ive ever seen made me realize i was born in the wrong time…and dont get me started with the music/films i love. Add the early 80s 83 being the cutoff and thats where i want to be. 70-83. Let me find the time machine.

The town model sounds amazing. My older sisters made an entire town for troll dolls (the 1960's ones) for us all to play with and they called it "Lilliput" which I didn't get until I was an adult.
I DID like the Jackson 5, but we didn't care for any teen idols from Partridge Family, Brady Bunch, or Sigmund. Randolph Mantooth - YES.
