Have you ever been to Elham’s on Washington Street? If so, how would you compare? I’ve never tried Mary’s.

My folks had a stunning 66 t-bird that during its last oil change, the mechanic noticed severe frame rust and said it was going to fail inspection. A neighbor kid bought it for what we would junk it, and in 2 weeks, it cracked in half. My dad offered to pay the kid back his money, but the kid said no - it was worth ever penny!

Wouldn’t that in theory make it more expensive to own a lot of land? Just curious

(my MIL owns a daycare small business)
The insurance $$$$, the pay for experienced staff so you can scale up a little, licensing of all sorts, not to mention plenty of food, diapers, toys, equipment, spaces, education content, you name it. There's of course a ton that goes into the full scope of managing a brick and mortar business, and the daycare is no exception. It's a whole operation, y'know?
There are home daycares too which seems fine to a relative outsider. That's what she did before; but scaling up to have like 10 skilled employees and a few different classes across an age range was key for growth.

I mean, i don’t know… I have rust. No holes. What does PA typically fail for?

Because people often use the job of commissioner to build a resume to prepare for a run for congress.

The wash I go to is heated and it dries you off at the end, so I don't think freezing temps would matter. I always keep my truck clean this time of year. The salt does a number on these old boxed Toyota frames.

Rust holes into the passenger cabin, on the frame, and compromising suspension components will be a fail
Surface rust won't be an issue.

What do you think?
On a scale of 0% to 100%, using all your intelligence and common sense, what do you think is the probability that light rust on the underbody makes a vehicle fail inspection in PA?

What about when the weather is below freezing? I’ve heard that washing when it’s below freezing isn’t good either…
Mijbr090490 t1_j6kpa2q wrote
The frame would have to be rusted through or suspension parts broken off. Large holes in the body will fail too. Keep the car rinsed off in the winter. A lot of the car washes going in have a monthly pass. Pays for itself this time of year.

I think you missed the single tax aspect. Under such a system your income would not be taxed.

…but you do own it. You bought the land, and you can do what you want with it as long as you can afford to pay the tax. How is that any different from any other tax? This isn’t really an outrageous concept.

R’s have controlled the state and governorship for 30 of the last 40 years, your first point is patently wrong and screams misinformation with how wrong it is.

Please tell us how a company is supposed to advertise a job with a net salary before they even know the applicant's name, let alone tax situation? Do you work in time travel?

Really? I always thought maybe insurance to have a childcare facility is just insanely expensive so that's why they charge so much. I've heard staff don't even get paid very much either.

I'm not saying that I shouldn't pay any school taxes. Educated kids become educated adults who go into society, so I get why paying for education is important.
What I'm saying is that I don't think I should be expected to keep paying for more and more expenses that should fall on parents who chose to have kids. If the problem is that daycares are overcharging parents for their services, then do something about that. Taxpayers picking up the tab should not be the default solution to everything.

I hate having to guess how much I'll actually be making after taxes. I think one reason employers don't list net salary is because net looks way too sad and even less people would apply for those jobs.

they fail for holes, even a little rust hole on the rear quarter panel above the rear well (looking at u honda)
the good news, i just throw a piece of tape over it and have never failed an inspection... after the first one i almost failed for not having a piece of tape on it
