Here you go. It's a state law that most employers must withhold local earned income tax. https://dced.pa.gov/local-government/local-income-tax-information/local-withholding-tax-faqs/

They do? At least around here (Allegheny)they do. And then you file each year to make sure you are squared away. Unless you are self employed but that's the same for state and federal SE too.

I'd say Groundhogs day which is coming up here. Although at this point it's well known and being duplicated many places. It's specifically a Pennsylvania Dutch tradition.
Fastnacht day is another PA Dutch one.

It's a nuisance! If they want my tax money, take it out of my check as everyone else does.

I used the duct tape on an old station wagon we once owned, and it passed. Unfortunately, the frame rusted through a year or so later, so it had to be junked.

Reply to Pennsylvania family drugged dog, wore ear protection in triple suicide pact by dissolutewastrel
> Detective Timothy Fink told the outlet that Deborah wrote about not wanting her daughter to die alone, and saying she was going to join her when she decided to end her life.
> The patriarch of the family, 62-year-old James Daub, had written a series of letters spanning a couple of days where he convinced himself he couldn’t live without his family, CBS21 reported.
God damn, this whole story is just so dark.
And I hope the dog ends up with a loving family.

Thanks, how is Arnold’s compared to The Works?
Doctor_Joystick t1_j6nzkva wrote
The go-karts at Arnold's are electric, so they're pretty fast (as long as you're not crashing into people, they'll remotely limit your speed if you're getting too aggressive). But as a video game arcade, its not going to satisfy your 80's nostalgia needs. Yes, they have video games, but a lot of it is newer stuff.

These people are horrible trying to deal with. This was like 5 years ago they actually were able to garnish my pay the 1st week of the year for like $150 for apparently missing it a few years prior because I moved. The person said on the phone “we don’t make mistakes.”

From the article is seems the dog is fine. The drugging was so that it wouldn't bite first responders.
The ear protection is so they wouldn't hear the gunshots and change their mind.
And it seems like a really sad case. The daughter seemed to be suffering with mental illness and the mother first and then father convinced themselves they couldn't live without their family and followed suite.
