Dems tend to not focus on areas where they don't seem to have as much of a chance. These are the areas that could really change the tide though. York county blue? That would send a message.

Groundhog day is celebrated in the US and Canada so I wouldn't say its regional to PA.

Yep… as someone who works in the human services field(2 years of which was in the mental health field). Pennsylvania and America in general treats mental illnesses like a joke. Human services in general are underfunded, but compared to developmental disability/autism services it’s even more underfunded than those. Then there is just the fact that so many people struggle with even the most basic of healthcare. Many people being “not sick enough” or making just enough above poverty to not qualify for Medicaid and private insurance not covering even the most barebones of mental health related services… Medicaid for all could do so much to rectify the situation. But that means challenging the stranglehold that private health insurance companies have on this country.

I was very satisfied that Daniels was the dem candidate. It seemed as if she were abandoned by the party though. Hopefully she will get some attention and Perry will finally go.

I wouldn’t live in west chester if you work in center city. That’s an insane commute daily. I would lose my mind doing that. Media all the way.
FWIW, I’d look at south jersey if school districts are a main concern. Some of the towns have really good ones and property prices are generally not bad.

This dude needs to go. I'm in his district and cant wait to see his career end. Democrats keep inching closer to flipping this seat each election round. If this takes him down sooner, fucking great.

State House has a coalition government, but the speaker is a former Democrat so it’s effectively a democratic majority

I had a creepy experience about 7 years ago in Michaux State Forest. It was a really lovely fall day and I stopped at a little roadside pull-off for a hike - which turned out to be Dead Woman's Hollow (a snow mobile trail that intersects with the AT, I think?) I set off walking and I was soooo relaxed and really enjoying the hike... until I turned around and started back. As I was walking back I got this awful feeling that I was being watched and even pursued. At one point I felt what seemed to be a handful of smallish rocks hit the back of my leg & I turned around expecting to see a couple of dudes being funny, teasing the lady (me) alone on the trail - but there was no one there. I brushed it off but the feeling of being watched increased until it was all I could do not to break into a run. Made it back to my car fine but the feeling I experienced on Dead Woman's Hollow really shook me. Of course I later googled Dead Woman's Hollow and found out about the horrible murder/shooting that happened there in the 80s. I honestly wondered if I had been picking up on that incident somehow (I'm not psychic or anything at all tho); over the years though I have to admit I've wondered about Sasquatch as rock-throwing and feelings of being watched are associated with sightings... Anyway - Dead Woman's Hollow ... it can get creeeeeepy!
