>It [Groundhog Day] derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerges from its burrows on this day and sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early.

The animal was also originally a badger in Germany

>PPL once took $20.000 instead of $200 ( and no we didn't have it, hence the shocker when trying to use our debit card ).
At that point, install solar and batteries and go off grid.
I'm honestly removing all payment info from ppl, and using my bank to pay them from here on out, to many issues.

This thing you posted suggests Phil will live forever and is an immortal. I'm just saying that's not the whole story.

I was really young when my mother would watch the show, and covered my eyes during suggestive sex scenes and the beheadings. I have fond memories but I haven't gone back to watch, if I'm being honest. However, I remember them being aliens at one point, or did that get retconned like a lot of shows that era did (SG1, Xena, etc)?

You are right about the rumor churn so who knows?
> And to your last point, couldn't they be from anywhere... In the universe iirc?
Yeah, they can be from anywhere. It's not tied to race, religion, ethnicity, etc... but in the OG movie, MacLeod's (who is the main character that happened to be from the Scottland Highlands) rival/enemy was originally from Eastern Europe (present-day Russia to be more exact) and his mentor (played by Sean Connery) was supposedly Spanish.

I don't think there's much info out there in general other than "it's happening" and "Cavill is Connor." I just personally don't think Hemsworth can pull off a serious role. But hey, big chance the movie isn't actually happening at all anyway, this is Hollywood after all and the rumor mill is always churning. And to your last point, couldn't they be from anywhere... In the universe iirc?

I really don't know much about the Highlander remake although, I guess it can go to a lot of different actors. As long as they look like they are a struggling immortal that can hold their own during a swordfight I could believe it. Although, I don't know if they are going to make this version Scottish or something else. I guess it really doesn't matter (if you ignore the sequel and focus on the TV series) they can be from anywhere in the world.

No, no, no... That elixir of life extends his life by 6 years (iirc its six, could be seven?). He gets it yearly.
He's got some time banked but he isn't immortal.
Spent a year living in Punxsutawney, learned the lore.
Edit - it's 7 years, not 6. Just Google it.

I just saw those rumors now, looks like they cropped up about four days ago. Idk, nothing reputable has posted it, and I can't think of a worse fit than Hemsworth.

Going to leave a worse and more costly impact long-term on the state than coal production did.

The air show is really cool. WWII aircraft and the folks who fly them. Before they take to the air you can walk up and check them out.

Wasn't Henry Cavill drop from the remake or was that just a fake rumor?
