Wash off the salt. Rinse it off of the underside. Do not garage your car (heat + wet salts = rusting potential)

No I'm thinking of the Amish. I see them all the time in grocery stores, dollar stores, and fast food places.

If you like your car, was it. Especially undercarriage.

You can’t clean the rust prone areas in your driveway. Automatic wash is what you want.

Reply to how easy is the PA driver’s permit test? I studied Chapters 1-2 , but i want to get my permit within a week. by Natural_Priority_424
The laws of the road in PA aren't difficult to master. Not driving like an ignorant, aggressive asshole seems to be the bigger challenge. Don't be that asshole.

Just dry the door seals after the wash.

The stuff on the roads near Philly will burn your skin like acid!

Didn't realize PA salt was different than salt in other states.

No, I'm not wrong. I'm ex-Mennonite with Amish family. Their dolls do not have blank faces. Maybe the extreme white toppers, but not the conventional black toppers. You're right that they're biblical literalists though.

That's the same reason I don't wipe.

As much as I agree with your sentiment, I can't help but enjoy the irony of horse shit on a Mustang. Especially as a Camaro owner.

I live in Pittsburgh, about 90 minutes away. For at least 40 years I've been thinking I should go up there for Groundhog Day at least once. Then the reality of late January sets in and I think; "Do I really want to be up there in the dark and 15° weather for a 15 minute show?" and the answer is always the same. So I stay home and watch it on the morning news.

Yes, yes, yes, YES! Salt is corrosive if left on your vehicle. It causes your frame and undercarriage to rust.

You should take the test for him.

Hot take, but frost lines from decades ago are such BS now. The coldest regions of the state barely freeze down a few inches anymore except during the craziest winters. Go however deep you can while keeping a good slope. Definitely at least 18” but otherwise you’ll be fine.
Side note though, it’s hard to keep those things from clogging. And they’re expensive. If you can possibly swing it, just dig a shallow swale/ditch.

I sure get tired of running over copious deposits of horse shit all over the roads. Nevermind what those wheels do to the already weather-stressed PA asphalt.

I get an unlimited wash pass at a car wash and use it as often as possible. Salt eats cars! Don’t let it cake on. That sounds so insane unless you are testing to see how long it takes for your car to turn to rust. Wash it often as long as there is salt on the roads.

Reply to Potentially Becoming Caregiver: Losing the House via Medicare/Medicaid Asset Recovery upon Death by KyaDash
If the Commonwealth pays for your dads care, even to you, then they can use his assets to recover their costs. There s a 60 month window in which they can demand the return of any asset that has been given, gifted, or transferred. If you can no further provide care of him, as soon as he hits the nursing home, his assets come into play. While there is a law called the Spousal Impoverishment Act, it only applies to spouses and it outlines specific items or percentages that must be considered or included in the taking of assets.
