Central PA I've seen rentals as low as $600/month. But it's in an economical depressed area where most jobs are fast food or Walmart.

Lehigh is the diamond in the rough of NEPA. It's where a lot of my friends and family moved to after leaving the Poconos. I just can't leave the beauty of this place for the fields and warehouses, but damn I can't deny the money is better. My wife commutes there as well for work and I have several times with different jobs.

I do think Nazareth is becoming an interesting spot.
