That's a good point. The idea of privatized infastructure just baffles me. The strikes really opened my eyes to what these guys go through and what these railroad companies want to get away with. Ideally, they want one engineer per train and as little workforce as possible. Instances like this really don't help their cause.

Spread them lies. There has never been a litter box. This shit was almost taken to the next level over the election lies. The MAGA/GOP claim to be smart but the shit that comes out of their mouths blows my mind. IF we were animals, they would have been left to fend for themselves along time ago.

I can’t seem to find it, but saw a chart recently showing that while driving, rail, and flying have all recovered to pre-pandemic levels, intercity bus ridership has shown little recovery. I don’t have a great explanation for why, other than anecdotally some of the routes that used to serve Pittsburgh were canceled and never restored, wouldn’t be surprised if that’s also happened elsewhere.

When I lived in Germany, it was possible to get nearly anywhere in the country using some combination of public transport, even tiny dorfs (villages). I wish we had that same lifeline throughout our Commonwealth.
