Again, I know this! But I was asking would you need it just to make an appointment. When I went to get my license transferred from CA to PA I needed to be there myself with my physical SS card. I couldn’t show a pic and I didn’t need to have a pic or even need the number to make an appointment but I was just curious if you could possibly need to for a behind the wheel drivers test

I understand this. But I’m not talking about going in yourself. She got his Ssn just to “make an appointment “. He doesn’t know better and didn’t ask me or my husband before he gave it to her. It wasn’t him going in to actually do anything. I know when I went I needed to show my SSN but I needed the physical card. She just took a pic and “make the appointment “

Having lived in Philadelphia, you have just confirmed that you are a Lying Sack of Fertilizer.

What part of the State Government severely limits what localities can tax is beyond your comprehension?

I hope you are being paid a living wage for your trolling.

I had a PoliSci prof at PSU back in ‘99 open the semester of a class of mostly freshmen this way, “Welcome to Central Pennsylvania. For those of you not from Pennsylvania, let me explain that Pennsylvania is Philadelphia on one end, Pittsburgh on the other, and Alabama in between.”

The city has used wage taxes vs property taxes as a way of funding their government. Its not an elephant party thing, since they haven't been in charge in Philly for almost a century. So both parties are OK with regressive taxes, as long as they get their money. What is worse about the city wage tax is dividends and interest income are excluded. So you could be a billionaire, live in the city and pay $0 in wage taxes if you aren't collecting a salary. However, if you are a business owner you are taxed far more if than if your business was just outside the city. And if you are too poor to own a car, and need to buy necessities to live, those are going to cost more than your neighbors in Montco or Bucks, since you can't drive across county lines.

My issue with all of the warehouses in Cumberland valley is that they haven't expanded 81 to three lanes with no general plan to do so in the future. 81 is generally speaking jam packed with trucks. And just about every exit is packed with warehouses. Also there are frequent accidents with the increased truck traffic.
