Eagle feather law

>In the United States, the eagle feather law provides many exceptions to federal wildlife laws regarding eagles and other migratory birds to enable Native Americans to continue their traditional, spiritual and cultural practices. Under the current language of the eagle feather law, individuals of certifiable Native American ancestry enrolled in a federally recognized tribe are legally authorized to obtain eagle feathers. A violation of the Act can result in a fine of $100,000 ($200,000 for organizations), imprisonment for one year, or both, for a first offense. Penalties increase substantially for additional offenses, and a second violation of this Act is a felony.

We had a "Hate has no home here" sign back in 2018(?). We ended up receiving some hate, we keep it in the cupboard. Someone could put that sign on their barn but it'd probably lead to a fire. Our NY / PA state line billboard here is still dedicated to the new Holy Trinity of DJT, Mast, and Oz.

I'm not a big fan of picking at the scab of hatred and intolerance but I wouldn't want to be a minority here.

Then, they intentionally lit the trash on fire. ... because there was not a non-combustible barrier in place, the fire spread from the trash to the exposed Buck Mountain Coal seam in the pit, and it's been burning underground ever since.

I had no idea that's how the Centralia fire started. This reads like something from the Idiocracy script.

Ditto on OPs reply below. Did the math too, because I thought maybe the article writer had conflated the 25 number of images with his age. Nope, he's really 25. Looks much older in that pic, but looks about 25 or so in some other pics elsewhere.

Based on the LI profile, he has a BS in accounting and criminal justice. While urges are difficult to suppress, I have to wonder if he was overly confident due to his study of criminal justice. Thought he'd get away with it or at least explain his way out of it. Maybe 25 years ago, but not these days with more awareness, stricter laws, and social media. Don't know, but a shame, since his resume appears pretty impressive.

Definitely use this website if you want the best skies possible, but remember the gods of star gazing are fickle and chaotic. I've been up there a few times, winter is definitely better for viewing because of the drop in water vapor.

I'll echo everyone in the comments BRING RED FLASH LIGHTS/HEADLAMPS. Also, unless you have a very powerful telescope... you're not gonna see much BUT the planets will be VERY clear, best Saturn and Jupiter I've ever seen with my rinky dink rig. No worries though, the community up there has always been kind to me and there's usually somebody up there with a gargantuan scope and a digital display that captures galaxies really well, and it's also a great time to geek out with each other and learn new stuff.

I've been up there on New Moon nights and Full Moon nights and honestly because my rig isn't that great I loved the Full Moon night. For a first timer I'd take a new moon night because there's def gonna be a lot more gazers and scopes looking at stuff.

Idk if they've changed the rules but me and the wife went up and just fell asleep in a few blankets while stargazing, nobody bothered us or kicked us out.

Thank you for noticing that detail. I found his LinkedIn and literally thought I must be wrong then I got his mugshot and was like what???? I went through the court documents and did the math like 5 times because I totally thought there was an error, seriously he looks like he is in his mid-40s.
