Let’s assume that you’re* right. You’re* still less likely to get into a wreck when obeying the speed limit. And police have sirens to make other drivers aware of their presence. And police typically have more driving experience than OP seems to have.

And, apropos of nothing, didn’t the Uvalde police decide to not do their duty for fear that it would endanger other people?

And finally, what does the cop’s actions have to do with OP’s? If the cop ran over 15 people to ticket OP, OP still put others’ lives and safety at risk. Anyone else’s actions are irrelevant unless they were, say, chasing down OP with the intent to do harm.

Just because you don’t like what he has to say doesn’t mean he’s wrong.

At the end of the day there is very little a state governor can do to increase rail safety and it’s by design. Fines and remediation fees aren’t going to force a company to increase safety measures when cutting those corners makes them more money in the long run.

Im not sending them to a seminary. Im weary of the public education system. In Canada public and catholic schools are equally funded by taxpayers. Private schools are few and far between. Only difference in catholic schools in canada is uniforms in high school, and you have a religion class once a day. This is what we are used to/expect.

We want small class sizes, and a very safe school. Don't know if that exists in america..

I'd consider renting a van through Vanture Customs. We're Philly-area too and rented "The Wanderer" for our Cherry Springs trip. We're campers anyway but considering what the weather could be like in March, a van gives you the ability to stay close by but sleep warm too. I believe Ole Bull is open year round and it's not too far from Cherry Springs.

The only other consideration is the combo of distance and luck of clear skies. We're 4 hours away, and while we consider it absolutely worth the drive, we try to do at least an extended weekend. We've gone and had only 1 good night to view stars, and we had a trip with no clear nights. Giving yourself an extra night or two, if you're able, is worth it in my opinion!

I have such a distaste for Mayor Pete. He gets praise from normies because they see him with snappy retorts on Fox News shutting down jackasses. They ignore his absolute incompetence from day 1 in this job. He is a corporate puppet and uses identity politics to make it seem like he is the next big thing. I don't know if it is worse that he is such an empty suit or that people are so gullible and if orant that they buy into his BS.

So I don't have a solid source for this but a friend of mine told me that Norfolk Southern officials bailed on at least one town hall meeting because of "safety concerns."

Edit: The following link confirms that they didn't go. https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/east-palestine-resident-questions-derailment-chemicals/
