>Is there acid rain in Ohio?
Acid rain could have formed after the controlled release and burn of chemicals on Feb. 6, Kevin Crist, professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering and the director of the Air Quality Center at Ohio University, said. If it did form and fall, it would have most likely occurred downwind of East Palestine.
"There would maybe be localized problems, but once that plume is gone, it's gone. Unless it's sticking to a residue," Crist said.
Vinyl chloride in the atmosphere breaks down into hydrochloric acid, a component of acid rain. East Palestine residents may want to wipe down surfaces in homes for possible residual material, Crist added.

Yeah, I smelled weird plastic as well. I'd stay indoors, but rain hit me already. If you ever do go out, especially don't breathe in the air.

And make sure to wash your body just in case.

Hi, I'm a pro-life Republican who vehemently opposes capital punishment not only because it takes a life, but primarily because the persons convicted and sentenced to death are far too often later exonerated and the death penalty itself is disproportionately applied to minorities.

There's a video of it on fire in Salem, 20miles before the crash. There also seems to be a call made about the hot box, and an investigation is underway. If you're genuinely interested, you should google, there are a handful of media outlets covering this part of the story. I think I saw the hot box footage on a CBS report.

Except other countries are already responding to emergency calls with mental health experts and it's going well. Also your crab fisherman comment is pure fantasy, cops don't even make top 10 for most dangerous profession. You should write the next game of thrones spinoff, you've really got a mind for fantasy.
