If you are referring to the abandoned Publicker brewery, the time for reasonably safe urbex has passed. The land was recently sold and is in the early stages of demolition. While it was probably never legal to go there, the chances of being caught trespassing are considerably higher as more people are working at the site.

Back up generators failed - this is really terrifying - I've worked in ICU in the area and the implications are dire, all EMS/Fire/Police services would be diverted, patients would have to be manually (bag squeeze) ventilated for hours - critical medication drips, surgical equipment, emergency imaging ALL affected

It would help to know where you’re headed. Most of I-80 is two lanes and some of it is kinda twisty and mountainous.

In fact, pretty much all of the east-west interstates across PA are mostly two lanes each direction.

Tbh, I can’t think of any reason you’d take the stretch of 76 going through Philly, aka the Schuylkill Expressway, if you were going to New York. Once you get to the Valley Forge interchange, you’ll want to take I-276 if you’re going north toward NYC. That’s at least three lanes each way.

Might want to try the 511PA app. Go to MORE FEATURES, then TEXT CAMERA LISTING. You then have to select a REGION, then ROUTE. Harrisburg region will take you as far west as Tuscarora Tunnel. You can view pictures or toggle at the top for video. This will show you the traffic.

Hey, I'm a senior at CBSD. The teachers make a lot of money. Their salaries are public information because CBSD is a public school. Although newer teachers usually make around 60-70k, most if not all of the older teachers (45+) make 6 figures. Guidance counselors make 100k. Principals often make around 150k. The average and median salaries at the district are both around 90k. Not attacking you or defending CBSD's awful recent behavior. Just saying they pay the teachers a lot.

It honestly depends on the commute you are willing to make. Somerset is about a 45 min drive on backroads or shorter on the turnpike (for a charge of course). It’s amazing how much Somerset has to offer from car dealerships, to restaurants, to grocery/general merchandise options. Also Seven Springs are nearby, Johnstown is north, and hopping into the turnpike can get you to Pittsburgh easy. I love Bedford but it doesn’t have the same amenities that Somerset has and living halfway between the two makes it super inconvenient to go shopping.
