Found out my landlord has had a dehumidifier plugged in and running 24/7 while in a socket connected to MY electricity. I unplugged it and my bill went down $100/month. This has been going on for at least two years now!!! Check if there’s some weird things plugged in that could be running constantly that you could’ve easily forgotten about, $450 is quite the lump sum…

I believe in science and masks are a waste of everyone’s time. However, I actually don’t have an issue with someone who wants to sniff their own breath all day, to each their own. I have a problem with trying to destroy businesses that pay wages, they’ve had it hard enough since 2020. If we disagree with people, don’t spend money there, but there’s no need to die on that hill and impact workers that rely on that wage.

There’s Tangy’s out in Warwick and X-Spot in Attleboro. I used to swing by X-Spot after class on Saturdays but but got busy so I haven’t gone back in a while.

There’s the Narragansett Bowhunters Club and the Cumberland Beagles Club, that both offer an indoor and outdoor range of some sort. I’ve never been to the one in Narragansett since I’m a bit timid and reading the rules for the place, I think it’s by invite or referral.

I’ve shot a few 3D courses out Cumberland and it’s a good hike for the exercise.

If you want to do clout shooting, my friend used to take me to the sand dunes out in West Greenwich. It’s open enough and sparing enough to shoot there.

Personally, I’ve been looking for places to do field archery and most cops I’ve asked said it’s OK to do in a park as long as you take the necessary precautions and have an arrow target.

The owners destroyed their own business - they have no one but themselves & their own egotistical arrogance to blame. I imagine as you sound right-leaning, which I’m completely fine with, that you identify as a Patriot. Isn’t what makes our country great, freedom? The freedom to choose… to wear a mask with the belief it may protect one’s health, even if only MARGINALLY… so I’m more surprised their decision to act in such a Non-Democratic but rather dictator-like manner isn’t seen as offensive to you?

>Is there a maximum Kwh you can use per month?

Not that I'm aware of

>Are there other fees involved?

Nope, just straight RIE bill -10%

>I'm guessing you still pay the distribution and transmission and all the other fees to RI energy but don't pay for generation charges as that's coming from Arcadia?

I only directly pay Arcadia and they handle everything in the background (too much in the background for be, I'd prefer to know more about just how it works). As I understand it, they buy the REC from the solar farm, sell it to RIE, keep some of the difference for themselves, and my payment covers the rest.

>Would it be possible to see a power bill with your personal info redacted?

Sure, I'll grab a copy when I'm on the computer tomorrow. Feel free to remind me if I forget.

Didn't say you were

Ironic how you immediately assumed my party, after chastising me for doing so

>You really think taxes aren’t too high?

Overall? Nope. I've already outlined my thoughts in this thread.

But don't think you've successfully distracted from the fact that you made a false claim about tax expenses, then zig zagged back and forth whether you were talking about RI taxes or not. You're allowed to admit you were wrong and learned something, going through these theatrics to avoid correcting your initial claim just makes you look worse.

That's good to hear! It's very possible things changed. I haven't looked in a couple of years now. Is there a maximum Kwh you can use per month? Are there other fees involved? I'm guessing you still pay the distribution and transmission and all the other fees to RI energy but don't pay for generation charges as that's coming from Arcadia?

Would it be possible to see a power bill with your personal info redacted?

Arcadia is a scheme. Everytime I've looked they make you sign a 1 year deal. But, power adjusts every 6 months with RI energy So Arcadia sends out mailers just after the rate jumps for the winter in October. Saying "your power company just raised your rate! Sign up with us for 4 cents less per kWh!". But what they don't tell you is that rate is locked in for a year. So when April rolls around and RI energy lowers the rate, you'll end up paying Arcadia more.
It's all a sham.
