The shop that failed you is required to re-inspect for no additional charge for up to 30 days.

This is so you can have the issues fixed and bring it back to them to finish the inspection.

I do not believe there is any reason you can't bring it to another shop, but I'm pretty sure everything the 1st shop failed you for has already been entered into the computer system.

Best to go to the place you trust the first time.

My new (to me) 4Runner failed its first inspection (despite passing in CT, where I bought it.) They failed me on a small tear in my left lower control arm boot, rust on my rear center brake lines, and tinted windows.

I replaced the control arm and the brake lines (nothing wrong with them, just surface rust) and I removed the tint from the front windows. I took it back to the same shop and passed within 5 minutes.

I don't have it, but I'm just thinking how hard it seems to be for people with serious afflictions like schizophrenia to get proper treatment in this state. How do you even find the right person? Is it just me or is this state barren in terms of decent mental health services outside of inpatient stuff like Bradley/Butler?
