I had the windshield repaired by Safelite on my 2017 Wrangler back in 2018 through insurance, it was dime size puck mark, and when I went to change insurance companies last year it was listed as a claim and raised my premium everywhere I was quoted. Had I known that I would have just paid out of pocket for it.

Most tires these days are considered all-weather. Hopefully you have all wheel drive or 4wd? If not stay put til the roads have been cleared. Most people just shovel or snow-blow their driveways. You can buy sand or salt for steps at Home Depot or Job Lot. Hiring a plow isn't that expensive either so you can get on a list. As for hills to sled on that depends on where you live? I warwick Kids go to Gorton School or Toll Gate High School. Fun hills at both.

It's weird we haven't had a big storm yet. I'm ready! Welcome!

The sizes and species are sort of a grab bag and varies from visit to visit, but builders surplus has some good size rough sawn hardwood boards for pretty cheap compared to other spots.

No guarantees but check out L Sweet in Providence. If they can't help you themselves they have been pretty good with referral for me at least.

In the last apartment we lived in, snow removal was covered. In reality, my husband and son would got shovel our sidewalk and driveway bc our landlord worked full time and wouldn't make it before dinner time.

Yeah I've had Navy Federal since I was a little kid and they get a discount through Geico.

I really don't know what happened to USAA. They were the only insurance company that would insure me as an 18 year old stationed in Germany with a brand new car. As time went on they just become more difficult to work with, their car buying service really sucked as it was more expensive to shop through them than to actually walk on the lot. Also their insurance kept creeping up year after year and their customer service sucked.

Gassing it isn't always great since if it's snow, it'd cause the surface area to flatten and cause less friction. I did this once and slid backwards and hit the curb. A neighbor who helped me off the curb said it's best to go slow and turn your wheel in a wide zigzap pattern heading upward. Which did help me get up the hill.

As for if it's all ice and no friction at all, I think you can try cat litter on the surface. But if you have none, if you do have rock salt, I'd try that too but that's a lot of surface for you to cover.
