The Darlington area of Pawtucket is actually really nice. It borders some shitty spots but the neighborhoods are great. Parks and baseball fields. Miles of paved bike tracks and some neat restaurants that have been there for decades. Quick jump back into Massachusetts. Quick shot to 95 and 295. It’s a hidden gem imo.

I say this all the time. 100% the best bagel in RI is at Rebelle. But you will absolutely get down voted for saying it. Bagel Gourmet is okay. Providence Bagel is okay. Neither of them come close to Rebelle. But the stories about the owner are definitely concerning. And for some reason they just never figured out workflow.

A school crosswalk is no different from any crosswalk though. When someone is trying to cross the street at a normal crosswalk it is the law to stop and in some municipalities that applies without a crosswalk. Maybe the fine for not stopping is higher than it is at a normal crosswalk though.

Middletown is close to Newport and has basically everything,movie theater , Home Depot,BJ’s , all the fast food restaurants except for panda and the road structure is just SO much more convenient for getting around even in the tourist months

Portsmouth is very quaint , big yards, lots of homes have views of the water , plenty of parks. I just cannot stand how far away everything in modern life is.

Years ago, East Main anyway, maybe it was 50 but it was 50 or 55. West Main not positive but West Main is 45 for much of it now.

They did recently patch East Main, it was unbelievably bad.

Meeting st location is the replacement (likely temp) for brook st since Brown knocked down the strip that was in. Also whenever I’ve gone to meeting st they usually have already run out of things compared to the Thayer one. So the parking spot at MS is nice but not worth it.

It’s illegal on both counts. The coyote and the person sneaking into the country to become an illegal citizen but this is acceptable now? Either way this is a terrible situation, but they’re paying off a smuggler so the smuggler will do it again. I know they’re trying to do something good but it’s perpetuating a cycle instead of breaking it.

I'm not advocating taking the cameras away at all. I'm saying the flat black signs sans any flashing lights are not as safe as the yellow flashing signs that were actually taken away in some places.

Not every driver is from the area and be honest those black and white signs are not for safety they are there so people will not notice that it is a school zone and get a ticket.

In the western part of the State school zone signs of any type are lacking. Those places should also have a flashing sign indicating school is in session and to slow down.
