I just went through a nightmare with Ocean State in the last two weeks. They were absolutely horrific with my dog, and they told me that he had cancer which later at Tufts turned out to be pneumonia. Going to Tufts is well worth the 40 minute drive. Ocean State Vet needs to be investigated for providing sub par and worse sheer negligence and treating pet owners terribly. And for charging outrageous prices for services. If anyone knows any local reporters I have a Facebook page full of complaints and experiences just like yours. I hope your cat is doing ok.

Can’t speak highly enough of this place. My doofus hound mutt once cut her cornea and once sliced open her paw pad bad enough to need stitches while trying to escape the yard and both times Mass/RI was great. Both cases needed follow up, meds, cone, etc…and both times they were great and got us right in. Our regular vet was closed once and less then helpful the other time.

Cannabis lacks flavor these days because a majority of it is grown in coco and hydro systems with low cost salt based nutrients instead of living soil which is lower cost and brings out the best terpene /anthocyanin content in cannabis. The whole industry is just a cluster fuck of corporate shills screwing those who have been pioneering this industry back when it was illegal to do so out of the very industry they built in the underground. Anyone should be able to grow and sell their bulk flower if it passes tests and is free of contaminants. But only the rich who pay to play get to do so and the rest of us are left cutting prices down to bargain discounts to compete with people who would rather support corporations for the dispensary experience rather than someone who produces quality cannabis free of chemical pesticides and nasty salty nutrient residues. The industry is a joke. Fuck beating the streets the only way to do that is truly ending prohibition and allowing people of all financial backgrounds to enter the industry. And I’m not talking in low wage grunt labor positions. People who can handle a 4k-8k grow should be able to market their cannabis legally instead of being relegated to the grey market where they face fines and arrest over growing a plant.

It’s a violation of our constitutional right to say we can only grow x amount of plants when those buying access to the industry can grow warehouses and fields of cannabis. But now that roe v wade has been repealed by a bunch of conservative corporate puppets it’s becoming painfully obvious we don’t have the rights we are entitled to.

He told me he already has grow facilities offering to open up for walk through. And honestly in today’s climate can you honestly trust wealthy business owners to not pay employees to say there is nothing to see and all is aok? Only way to get this to work is independent auditing. Also workers in this climate fear retribution for bringing shady practices to light. I don’t see many grow workers risking their meager quality of life to expose wrong doing in any industry.

My dog had an injury a few months ago and I took him to Veterinary Urgent Care Center. It’s in North Easton, MA but it was the only place within easily drivable distance that would take him without an appointment since we are new to the PVD area and hadn’t established care for him anywhere yet. They’re walk in only, but you can check in online before or call to see what their wait is. It sucked having to drive so far (about an hour for me) but overall it was a great experience and worth it to get him taken care of. We won’t hesitate to take one of our dogs back there if we need urgent care outside of their vet’s hours.

I think the ass-hat might have a point or part of one.

From now on, if I'm in this situation (and I have been) and I don't choose the police station option, I'll at least check the nearest cars/ trailhead and try the unlock/ horn thing.

As you said, a thief isn't going to check a long list of places.
