As a student flying the Cessna 172 (Single Engine Small Plane), we only really use it if the crosswind will make 23 a bit too challenging. I've landed perhaps a handful of times on 16
Edit: Engines have become quieter. The first time flying (25 years ago this week) was on a 737-200 (N305DL) with JT8D's (first generation Turbo Jets, low bypass). Hearing the engines spool up to Takeoff power, it screams power, but it is like a V8 with a straight pipe

I would avoid this location. It is definitely loud & there are so many chemicals you breathe in while the planes fly over you!

The Lucky Dog in North Smithfield. It’s a small place and you need to make a reservation we’ll ahead of time to actually get in, but we’ll worth it. And prices are really reasonable for the quality of food

Supply and demand. With about 10000 season tickets now, that leaves about 2500 tickets for the general public

Crazy how prices have skyrocketed, I remember when I was in Grade School and they didn't have the current arena. They used to play in different places around the area. One place was the Bank Street Armory in Fall River for 15 Cents. It is still college ball. WTF.

Best time to get tickets is when the schedule is announced. Best time is November-December. With only 2 home games left and PC in the top 25 tickets are at a premium at this time

There is some good info here about runway utilization, noise complaints, night operations, etc.

>it's more of a team sport instead of hot shots trying to get to the NBA before graduation
It's funny to say something like this while claiming everybody else has some unfair bias.
I don't like the idea of blaming fans for not liking or supporting something. Everyone only has so much time and energy in their life and I don't think anyone should be obligated to get into something if it doesn't interest them.
I think a lot of the uphill challenges that women's sports face are going to erode over the next few decades but I don't really fault anyone for not caring now.

Both teams are ranked so it’s a hot ticket. Wait till next season and go early on, sorry my guy

They sold over 10,000 season tickets this year in an arena with a little over 12,000 seat capacity. That trend will probably continue. As others have said, early season games are the easiest tickets to get for cheap(ish). The days of $30-$40 Friars games are gone. Sucks for families, but it’s great for the program.

It’s like living near train tracks, I’ve done both. You’ll notice it at first when they fly over, but you’ll soon forget it’s happening, especially because it’s relatively low traffic

They're playing number 16 in the nation Xavier during the 2nd consecutive ranked season and are pretty much a lock for the tournament. PC website isn't selling any because they're sold out. If you want really cheap tickets, go to their games before conference play next season.
ChronicCumShots t1_j9owaqi wrote
Team is really good now, looking like a perennial contender, so ticket prices have gone up on the resale market. If you want to pay less you gotta buy direct from the PC box office when they go on sale for the season

it’s not bad i been living here in warwick for over ten years and i got used to the noise. it’s just a rumble sound that you will hear. you could get soundproof doors and windows if you really want to. the soundproof will block out the noise maybe not all of it but some of it.

I don’t know why this is getting downvoted. If the gym is a hobby, like minded people will be there. Like I met a great guy at CrossFit. I would not suggest joining just for dating. Any place one has to use good judgement and discretion when approaching another person for the purpose of communicating and maybe dating….. MeetUp is an option. There are groups for all kinds of different interests and hobbies. Maybe even a cooking class or art class….. Host a party and have friends bring food/drinks and a single friend or two.
