I don’t live in Coventry but I know there’s some weirdness with the town government not wanting to fund the schools very much. Maybe someone who knows more can fill you in. Like one year recently they laid off all the teachers and made them reapply, that sort of thing.

Basically street park. If you don't mind walking a bit and chancing the occasional ticket, there's some good areas around Roger Wheeler, especially if you are showing up at 6 am.

I’d imagine if you went early to Gansett town beach you wouldn’t have much trouble finding free parking available on the street. Lots of parking along the sea wall and a few streets right next to the beach. I live there and I don’t have much trouble finding a spot past five pm, so I think it should be similar at around 8 am. The sea wall parking definitely couldn’t be all filled, except on maybe the busiest of days in July

When we moved a couple years ago we moved to West Greenwich for the school system. We actually looked at some comparable houses in Coventry, but at the time, the real estate + fire tax would have been like, 4-5K more a year than the house we ended up in WG. West Greenwich has a homestead tax discount, and I believe it's a 30% discount or something.
As far as Coventry goes, I have friends and family that went through the school system and haven't heard anything really negative.

Not that this means much, and idk what it compares to in other towns, but the schools here get about 70% of the towns budget. I would also recommend doing some research on how the town runs things, there's usually chaos every year with the budget, lots of interim managers and other rotations, there is a fire tax that you pay separate from regular town taxes because of the fire district setup, etc.

I don't have any kids so can't speak to specifics, but I do have many friends who went through the Coventry school system and now their children do as well. Of course, ymmv.

Yea I would have been thrown off a bit as well. I hate when retailers push manufacturers on you. That's why I'm not a fan of D&L in Warwick. I went looking for a handgun and specifically said I didn't want a Glock, and they were trying so hard to convince me. Like I get it, you get more money selling these, but I don't want that one lol.

Been a few times and I liked it. Brought a couple of friends that weren't familiar with shooting and they were very helpful with training and having them take a written test.

I do like Elite in South Kingston the best though.

Gorgeous mural! It’s kind funny though to see all this historic architecture featured when the heart of the town is basically just a bunch of ugly mid century strip malls/condos/parking lots.

What a convoluted way to not solve this problem. paying 0.05 for each bottle back isn't gonna incentivize people to return them. the people who litter these don't give 2 fucks about the environment or the ppl around them. only desperate people on the streets will pick them up and misuse whatever they make from it.

They should be banned.
