Funny you mention that, because most of the long time management left a little over a month ago because of what corporate was doing. So there are probably new store managers at this point but all the problems are coming from corporate. You know how everyone is saying the miss when it was summit? Well all the people who made summit good have basically been driven out by RISE corporate.

That’s a great suggestion! Thank you for sharing. I do have plans to interview RI historians for the podcast as well. Once season 1 is fully released (covers RI from the founding to King Philip’s War) I plan on taking a step back and thinking about what’d I’d like to do differently or add to the podcast.

So much that I want to do but so little time in the day haha!

This hysteria has been happening since the Blizzard of 1978. The TV stations stoke the hysteria because it boosts their ratings which translates to more eyes on their content which means more market share which means more earnings.

Totally unnecessary fear mongering. But you'll never see them being honest if it means they might lose viewers.

Same here. Went for a walk and saw the owl out on a rocky promontory, very dramatic, and about twenty people with the largest telephoto lenses I've ever seen at various sites along the shore to capture it. It looked like a presidential press op. My little phone camera zoom was only able to turn the owl into a slightly larger white blob.

There were plenty of people in the development world in my ear who were raising legitimate questions about the viability of the tower, but I wrote them off as worried about competition from the eccentric outsider. > >It’s not necessarily the City Council’s job to vet a developer’s ability to pay for their proposal, but [former City Council president David] Salvatore said he was especially concerned because ā€˜there were tens of millions of taxpayer dollars on the line’ — in the form of subsidies – if the project got started but couldn’t be completed.ā€

The cheerleading BEANs never care about this sort of thing, which is why they should be ignored when they mindlessly tout any and every project whether it’s viable or not …
