Climate won’t wait for a more equitable housing market. Costs will be made up later by lower or non-existent utility bill. Consumers are fed misinformation (just read some of the takes in this thread by brainwashed morons).

It doesn’t really matter because nobody can afford a house now anyway. You think landlords or NIMBYs gonna let prices come down? Hell no the want us all to rent forever and get rich off our backs. So if they’re the only ones that are going to be able to afford new housing at least let’s make them offset the ecological damage.

Private ambulance companies are always hiring. Do not expect a livable wage as an EMT anywhere. Look at private service as a stepping stone to something better (school, trade, etc).

United Electric Railways

>The United Electric Railways Company (UER) was the Providence-based operator of the system of interurban streetcars, trolleybuses, and trolley freight in the state of Rhode Island in the early- to mid-twentieth century. The UER was chartered in 1919, after the previous operator of the streetcar, the Rhode Island Company, went into temporary receivership. The company was placed under the control of the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission upon inception, in an effort to limit the impact to service in the event of financial difficulties.

So apparently, from what ive heard it was a building permit to build something where the old gas station was and the town council said no so he put that up. I honestly thought it was a portsmouth vs middletown highschool rivalry thing for the longest time since it kinda looks like a teenager put it up

That's one of the best books of the US 20th c. I am so sickened by this censorship, here. I read it at 16 or so and it was just so wonderfully written, in a very unusual 1st person plural voice- an extraordinary piece of literature. I hope the kids will all read it now, even the ones who hasn't explicitly signed up for a dark literature course

Ediited because I was too upset to spell.

Short terms several smaller towns hire per diem EMT’s, someone above mentioned Scituate and i believe Glocester also hires basics in the $20 an hour range and it seems they are always looking.

If your planning on living here ling term getting on a Union Paid FD is becoming easier due to no one applying. You will be required to become ALS licensed by most cities and towns before hand or maybe shortly after hire but if this is the kind of living you want to make you can easily make 100k a year after a few years on the job. I would get on a per diem EMS job to start and you can probably get them to pay for a cardiac license while you work there. Good luck.
