Sapling evergreen trees are a nightmare for ticks as well. Check out Arcadia in Exeter/West Greenwich though, there are tons of different trails in there, many of which overlap or intersect so can be as long or short as you want. I'm pretty sure REI or URE have dedicated Arcadia and burlingame trail books

When you take the Jefferson exit from the highway, you’ll take a left at the light to get to 700 Jefferson. Once past the hotel entrance on your right you’ll see a ramp going up that says rental cars only. You can drive up that to what floor your picking up the car. Don’t worry about driving onto the rental car floors, the car dropping you off will be able to get out. For example if your picking up from budget rental car, you’ll drive up the ramp to the 4th floor, once on the floor drive all the way to the side of the garage closest to the airport. You’ll need to take the elevator back down to the 3rd to access the rental car counters located through the hallway.

Check out snake den near Johnston if ya up north Or some of the Big River walks if you're mid state

Download the all trails app, it's loaded with great walks.

As for ticks, I usually designate a hiking outfit early in the season and douse it with permetherin. Tick free for many years now and I spend a bunch of time in the woods.

Have fun exploring our state!

I drive by everyday on my way to work, and we get customers questioning it all the time. Definitely an eyesore, and all it does it make him look crazy. There are definitely better ways to deal with his grudges against the town. On a sidenote though, please don't zoom down east main going 50mph. That road is scary as hell to drive on as it is, nevermind if everyone's speeding.

Reply to EMT-B Jobs by [deleted]

I’d say your best bet is to look into Scituate EMS or Chepachet or some other type of town that has its own EMS service. The private ambulance services typically suck but I know some people have had good luck at “Professional ambulance”. When you can I’d apply to full time fire departments that also do EMS usually the only prerequisite is your physical test and EMT-B. No one is applying anymore for these jobs so if you have your emt your ahead of the game.
