I had to go down Dupont Drive on a Sunday afternoon recently to drop off a package at the Amazon Hub there. It was initially a bit chaotic, but the riders were at least staying away from me and my car.

I know it's not a solution, but I'd rather see them riding there on a Sunday when the majority of businesses there are closed, than up and down neighborhood streets clogged with kids...

When I visited rhode island despite having out of state plates everyone drove respectful around me! No one ever honked, flipped me off or anything. I'm confused why driving is a problem? You could live in my state and take 1 hour trips back and forth from home to work or shopping to home etc.

I agree that the dunes should be reopened as a riding area, however these jerks will never go there to ride. It doesn't server their purpose, and it would be too far for them to ride there, lol.

There was a gas station there, the permits for the underground gas tanks were not up to code anymore because of the size of the property. He bought the land/business when it was valuable and the town made it unusable and unvaluable so he is pissed at them. The current owner has been in legal battles with the town. Unsurprisingly the owner is a POS as others have pointed out.

I live in RI and work in MA. RI wages are too low.

If it's any help, my entire field is perpetually short staffed, and in MA wages are usually $17-$20 starting pay. I work as a direct support professional. I take care of disabled adults living in a group home. I honestly love my job.

If it works (decently), I second the buy nothing groups, Craigslist free or donate to PVD Things.

The sand dunes in big river is the perfect area to sanction. I wish RIDEM could get their head out of their own ass and work to accommodate all user groups.
