Generally when people read clocks they just round the hour hand down. Also, some clocks (especially older ones) don’t gradually move the hour hand, making your point work for only some clocks.

I think the essence of the saying is that a clock represents a time based on how we read it and if the time isn’t changing on the clock then it is correct twice a day.

I understand this statement. As we mature we may adopt a more long-term view and accept that some situations are not as volatile or emotionally important as we might have at a younger, more inexperienced age. It’s more of a “let’s ride this through and see how it goes” kinda thing.

The concept is true but in actuality what distilleries do is buy already aged bourbon (often from MGP) and make blends themselves that they sell under their label. See Willet as an example. They’ve been selling bourbon for a while but only in the last few years have they been selling their own distilled spirit.
