I didn't know there was a term for this. I don't picture the characters neither, I just live in a world of words when I read. I don't picture anything, yet I greatly enjoy what I read anyhow. Upon reading the description, I don't have aphanasia. I can imagine things if I wish. I can picture a horse's face in my head. I just don't picture anything while reading.

No. There is poverty because the systems we live in require poor people to continue functioning. Our problem isn't lack, never has been. It is the disproportional distribution if wealth and power. Those with W & P conveniently make rules to grow their own wealth and power , and removed the checks and balances in place to keep us from being on the Titanic. Pro- athletes are NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE PROBLEM...jeez the owners, coaches etc all make more...

And I can't remember who, but a rugby team in the UK kept confusing fans for a while when announcing on social media the good news that players were resigning.

I think they've added the hyphen for newer announcements, but yeah...

I've had personal experience with similar as well, when a ready meal I had said "halfway through, remove from the microwave, lift the film lid, stir, and recover".

I would say the opposite. That it was so common for your children to not survive infancy or survive beyond 5 that there didn't need to be a word. People used to not even name their child until after their first birthday. And a lot of cultures celebrate a child's birth months or years after the birth because they have survived long enough.
