Bojack Horseman did a flashback to 2007. Only 16 years ago but it speaks to how much things have changed since then.

My comment didn't come out as I expected. I was referring to what goth was when it began back in the 80's, when it was just a musical scene. Of course it became much more than that with time, and today there are many goths who don't even like the music.
I didn't intend to sound gatekeep-ish, just felt that the first comment about goth becoming emo and such could lead to a wrong view as if the scene was only about fashion. I apparently didn't choose the best words though :/

Hey, don't be too harsh on the Olympics. They might be silly but they bring people from all over the world together in a spirit of friendly competition, and that's something to be admired!

Ai generated art never really captures what an artist can though. For example. If someone wanted a piece of art of a wolf standing on 2 legs, hands up in a fighting stance, hands wrapped like a fighter, stern mean look on their face, with long braided hair, eye patch and a scar under their eye. Ai generated art can't do this. An artist can capture this though and thats the type of art that is worth buying. Ai just generates broad terms into images but can't generate something as specific as this.

Very true. If work is stressful going home and turning your brain off can help decompress. But too much of anything is bad.

Commissioned art these days is pretty expensive anyway. So most artists are in a much better place, than years ago.

That sounds amazing! I worry though that there are clear signs that content consumption is saturated, and increasingly constrained by disposable time/income, while content creation is multiplying exponentially.
