Clearly not been to any town at night when the clubs kick out, a regular sight near me is young men throwing arms up in the air to appear larger than the other young men whilst shouting "come on the you c**t" to some random person who is either to drunk to respond or just don't care.

Also the widening of arms which is perceived as friendly to most people takes on a sinister alternative meaning outside of Frank's kebabs & chicken at 2am, again, to look larger and more intimidating to other young lads whilst shouting "oy" to whoever bumped into them and dropped their last chicken wing.

It's all very dependent on where you live as to what these actions mean but to me, if I see someone raise their hands I'm gonna go on defense and keep an eye out rather than think they are peaceful.

I'm glad a subject about the news got brought up.

I'm in the hospital because my dad has a blood clot in his leg. I went out to the waiting area and they have fox news on it. It's not even news...

It's just cherry picking what democrats are doing and how democrats are bad. Democrats this democrats that.

Shit was very annoying and didn't feel like I was getting any actual useful information

I've heard how bad fox news is but fuck seeing it in person is like a mindfuck because there's people that actually follow that shit religiously.

I pretty much figured that was what you meant. A subtle, but very meaningful difference. I get that people genuinely like the effect that beauty products have and that many women (and men, I guess), do it "for themselves." But honestly, that is even more insidious, because they have then internalized the self-loathing message that the industry has created to sell them stuff. I don't judge anyone for wanting to "feel pretty" or feel good about how they look. I judge the fuck out of society at large for the definitions of "pretty" and "looking good" that we propagate to both men and women. OK... this was gonna be a quickie comment and I stumbled upon my soapbox. I will show myself out. lol

Yea honestly if I were a mod, there would be a list of posts (the common ones that people repost word for word) and any account reposting them would instantly be permabanned (from the sub that is)

But also there would be a stickied post and a very clear warning dissuading people from doing that crap lol

I noticed you haven't used a synonym for woke, just acted confused when somebody else came up with one. The reason you can't come up with a word that means the same as woke is it is a catch-all for a social-economic-cultural-historic-moral that you disagree with. It's also why woke is so useful for Fox News: it doesn't require any specific use it's just a broad brush with which to shit on the progressive agenda or really anything they don't like without having to say why.

I'm the same, so many I know are always afraid of having nothing to do. Me? I love the everliving shit out of that. I had 2 months of work cuz I broke my hand(and complications with the healing) and it was literally the best 2 months of my life after hitting 20.
